Requirements:

This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week. We are open to a flexible working schedule, but we do require an in-office and regular schedule.

  • 1-3 years experience writing for clients and a demonstration of creating engaging content.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism or related field
  • Marketing experience with digital marketing tactics, including SEO, email marketing, and web analytics
  • Excellent writing skills, as well as the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively (with examples to provide)
  • The ability to consistently meet tight deadlines

  • Experience using WordPress preferred
  • Experience with web product copy and SEO a plus
What you’ll be doing:

On any given day you’ll be creating marketing content on a variety of topics for one of our many clients. The activities you need to be able to perform well include:

  • Write blog posts covering a variety of clients.
  • Bring creativity, new ideas and a defined voice to writing for clients.
  • Translate technical, industrial terminology into accessible, benefit-oriented information.
  • Write copy and develop content for advertising and interactive/web properties consistent with the message strategy.
  • Understand our brand, customers, products, services, and competition to deliver accurate and on-target creative that is consistent across all channels and mediums.
  • Oversee copywriting from inception through completion, ensuring a high level of quality by providing proofing, editing, and quality assurance before going to market
  • Use SEO best practices to generate traffic to sites
  • Regularly produce various content types, including blogs, email, social media posts, and more.
  • Create content calendars according to the strategic plan including blog posts, social media posts, and supporting materials.

  • Ability to manage deadlines and juggle multiple projects.
