24 Oct Coming in for a Landing: Landing Pages
Landing pages on your website are pages dedicated solely to converting traffic based on a specific offer. For instance, if you had an e-book or a special promotion, you might create a landing page to which you can direct your pay-per-click ads so that your viewer can immediately find information on that offer, quickly convert, and get what they came to your site for.
NEED AN EXAMPLE OF A LANDING PAGE?
Here’s one of our landing pages, where our clients can sign up for our free branding webinar.
HOW DO LANDING PAGES HELP YOU WITH SALES?
Imagine walking into a retail store, knowing that there was a great offer on the item you want, but having to search high and low for the product with no signs about the sale. Sometimes, if the offer is good enough, you will put in the time to find it, but other times you will become frustrated and leave. If you direct web traffic that you generated based on an offer, you want them to find that information immediately. Directing them to your homepage forces them to find the offer – not a good strategy if you are looking to increase conversion rates.
WHO WILL BENEFIT FROM GREAT LANDING PAGES ON YOUR SITE?
Businesses that are looking to capture leads efficiently on their site will benefit from well-designed landing pages, especially those that are using pay-per-click advertising. Having well-designed and optimized web pages on your site will directly lead to an increase in conversion. If you could use your site to start converting more leads, wouldn’t you do it?
HOW DO YOU GET STARTED WITH LANDING PAGES ON YOUR SITE?
First, identify your offers, analyze your pay-per-click / social media / content offer campaigns and look at the pages to which the ads or links are pointing. Is it easy to define where to get the offer you advertised? Is the landing page built on a singular call to action? Are there unnecessary pictures, links, and distractions that would confuse a first time visitor? Time for a change.
